i went to replace the exhaust back box on my nissan almera. thankfully i asked one of the mechanics the day before how much it will cost and he said 50 pounds. i booked an appointment and went the next day. the work was done in 10 minutes even though they told me initially that it will take about an hour. anyways, i went inside the office and the two ladies with artificial smiles very conveniently asked me to pay £85. i did not and told them that i was told by the mechanic that it will be £50. after a lot of hassle i managed to convince them and paid only what i was initially told.
the next day i called to get a quote about oil and filter change. the same lady quoted me 70 pounds. almost double then any other garage. so be very aware that they will charge you a hefty amount if you dont know anything about car repairs.
